Benefit Members of Your Model Train Club Without Cost
Your model train associations or model train club might be providing all of the benefits of membership listed below. However, if there's more your model train club would like to do but has limited resources, or your club would rather focus on model railroading than extensive communications, your club can extend its benefits to members, without investing your club's resources.
Whether members of your model train association or club love tracking down elusive models, or running their trains at your club; whether they are novices or seasoned collectors, you can help them stay on track with the latest model railroading news, new model releases, developments, and special offers not there for the public, by encouraging them to subscribe to George's Trains newsletter, George's Trains Gazette.
George's Trains newsletter can help your club expand its benefits to members without using your club's resources. (For more details, click here.)
Advantages of Model Train Associations and Clubs
While not all model railroaders excavate their basements just for train layouts, as some have done, model train associations and model train clubs do have some of the most dedicated and passionate hobbyists as members, with good reason.
Members of model train clubs get together to enjoy a hobby which can be tailored to meet every individual's desires. Collectors can choose specific time periods. Electronic buffs can specialize in controls and communications. Builders can buy panoramic scenery, pre-fabricated track, and buildings.
Members can concentrate on one particular make or model, on locomotives and tenders, freight cars, or a particular railroad. Model railroaders can choose from a variety of scales and gauges, building almost exact replicas with other members of their club or model train association.
Model train clubs and model train associations not only enhance members' enjoyment, they provide camaraderie, chances for all kinds of discussions, and shared interest in a loved hobby.
Model train clubs can offer other benefits to members. Model train associations and clubs can help educate and broaden the knowledge of members about model railroading. They can provide information about new developments, displays, contests, and trade shows. Finally, they can widen the scope of club members by connecting them to other sources of model railroading information.
